About the iPhone 15 Pro Max
The 6.7-inch Pro in titanium, with a 5x telephoto camera and the A17 Pro chip.
The 15 Pro Max is the 15 Pro on a 6.7-inch screen with one important difference: its telephoto camera folds light through a prism to reach 5x optical zoom, against 3x on the smaller model. Storage starts at 256 GB.
Highlights
- Display: 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR (OLED) with ProMotion up to 120 Hz and Always-On.
- Chip: A17 Pro.
- Cameras: 48 MP Main, 12 MP Ultra Wide (with macro) and 12 MP Telephoto (5x optical zoom), LiDAR Scanner. 12 MP front camera with autofocus.
- Battery: up to 29 hours of video playback when new.
- Build: Ceramic Shield front, matte glass back, titanium frame, 221 g. Rated IP68 when new (6 metres for up to 30 minutes).
Good to know
- Charging: USB-C (USB 3 for data, with a USB 3 cable), MagSafe and Qi wireless pads.
- Apple Intelligence: supported.
- SIM: a nano-SIM and an eSIM, except on phones first sold in the US, which are eSIM-only.
- Water: seals age, and a repair can disturb them, so treat the water rating as protection from splashes and spills rather than a reason to take it swimming.
