Returns and warranty

What to do if something is wrong, who pays for it, and how long you have. This sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, which it does not limit.

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel.

This document is incomplete: passages marked in square brackets are facts the platform has not yet supplied, or questions that need a South African lawyer to answer. It is published here so it can be reviewed, not so it can be relied on.

Seven days, any reason

Log a return from your account within seven days of delivery. You do not have to give a reason, but the reason decides who pays for the return leg.

We pay if the item is not as described, is a worse condition than its grade, is faulty, or is simply the wrong item. You pay if you changed your mind. That is the only case where the cost is yours.

Your refund

Once we receive the item back and confirm its condition, we refund you to the method you paid with. We do not deduct a restocking fee.

Warranty

Every device carries a platform warranty against defects present at delivery. The term is shown on the product page and recorded against your order.

Claims, returns and repairs are handled by us directly. You never have to find the seller, because you never dealt with one.

The warranty excludes accidental damage, liquid damage and normal battery wear. It does not affect your rights under CPA section 56, which run for six months regardless of what any warranty says.

If a device turns out to be stolen

Every handset is checked against the national blacklist before it is sold, and re-checked afterwards. If a device you bought is later reported stolen, we will contact you, refund you in full, and deal with the seller. You will not be left out of pocket for our failure to catch it.
